Treasurer’s Report
-Tom Reilly provided a “Deep in detail” yearly
report. Banquet was fully paid,
and all payments were received.
$200 was paid to Hillside School Science Fair. Membership due received from our new
member, PSLS. Invoice for next year
will be sent for member societies in the month of September.
Web-Site – Agnes
Muranyi – Website was updated, added our new member PSLS. Waiting for the website address from another new member:
ASM LV Chapter - contacted with Ryan DiSabella Chair, by email. Reminder email was sent to Member
Societies, if they want to publish their meeting at the LVEC website,
please send it to Agnes Muranyi
Sponsorship – Bernie Telatovitch prepared a “Guidelines for Distribution of LVEC Funds” which was approved with the addition of “Line 8” (Please see the complete Guideline on the bottom of the Minutes).
A motion to sponsor Pennsylvania Trig-Star competition ($200.00) was approved; request came from Pennsylvania Society of Land Surveyors.
Calendar – For the
next meeting, (September 2007) Agnes Muranyi to prepare a calendar for next
year, with tasks and deadlines, which will be available at the website, in
the “Meeting Minutes” section, under the name: “Calendar”.

Congratulations, and best wishes to the new
team. In previous years, LVEC had
outstanding, teamwork, leadership and “head leaders” (Bernie Telatovich Chair 2006/2007, Bob Abbot Chair
2005/2006). We will follow in their
footsteps.
STEM Conference - Keith Gardiner
LVEC's second STEM
Conference will take place at Lehigh's Rauch Business Center on Saturday, October
6 2007. The Council is seeking
volunteer support from all Council member societies and organizations. Further details can be obtained from Keith

GUIDELINES FOR DISTRIBUTION OF LVEC FUNDS
The Lehigh Valley Engineering Council (LVEC) Board,
prior to voting on the distribution of funds to any entity, person, or
organization (Group) for purposes commensurate with LVEC’s functions and
mission shall consider the following:
What is the nature of the group and the “sponsored activity”?
Did the group provide a budget for the event or sponsored activity?
Is the group active within LVEC?
Is the group active within the Lehigh Valley?
How much has been distributed to the Group in the past?
Will the funds be used locally?
Will the group provide “recognition” to LVEC and how?
Follow up request after the fund: Report after the event, how the money was used.
A reasonable limitation on the total amount
distributed during the fiscal year to the “Group” should be considered.
Activity within the LVEC should be considered and
encouraged.
