Council Meeting Held at Lehigh University Packard Lab Room 325

 

  1.  Bob Abbott called meeting to order at 6:10 P.M.

  1. Minutes

 

Minutes of the April meeting were approved with minor corrections.

 

  1. Treasurer’s Report – Nothing added this month.

 

  1. Engineer’s Week Banquet

 

Follow up discussion on all aspects of the banquet was initiated by Bob.  Options other than Da Vinci center (the Meadows) maybe looked into if Da Vinci is too costly for renting the facility and catering.  Bob Abbott will follow up with our liaison Michele Stuart. 

 

2007 Sponsor is SME-  Keith Gardiner to provide names and options for speaker affiliated with the sponsoring organization.

  1. Old Business

 

Joint Conference for presentation of papers in fall 2006 was discussed by Keith.  The meeting is referred to as The Lehigh Valley Science, Technology and Mathematics All-Corners Conference.  Discussion was held and LVEC agreed to be a major sponsor.  A motion to fund the endeavor with $500.00 from LVEC was made and passed unanimously.

 

9.       New Business – Officer Elections are in June.

 

10.   Next Meeting scheduled for Thursday, June 1 at 6:00 P.M.  Meeting adjourned at 6:50.
